Behind every great man is a great woman… hence our senior pastor’s wife, Pastor Susan Conatser is the founder of the New Day Counseling Center in Duncanville and practices as a Licensed Belief Therapist. She also runs the women’s ministry and has mentored many women along the way. Susan is an artist at heart and can often be found enjoying a good book or painting a masterpiece. Oh, and she also holds the prize for Best Guacamole around!
Associate Pastor Travis Brubaker graduated from CFNI and began working with Rock Students in 2008. Since joining our team, he has led small groups, conducted leadership training, planned big events and ran the weekly youth service. All who know him, love him. And all who know him, know of his love for ninja turtles.
Assistant Mission’s Director Tausha Brubaker currently serves as a member of the Mission’s Committee and student ministries administration. She grew up on the Mission field and has always had a heart for global outreach. She recently graduated from the School of Missions at CFNI and is currently working on her Bachelor’s degree at DBU. Aside from her mission’s work, she stays very involved in The Rock Student Ministries, and she loves spending time with Travis. She’s a vegetarian (but don’t hold that against her!), and she loves doing anything that involves creativity and organization.
Director of Men’s Ministry Robert Allsup has been a member of SWHC since it’s beginning almost 25 years ago. Besides being married to our Children’s Pastor, he directs our Men’s Ministry, founded Project Duncanville, chairs our Finance Committee, remains active in his own surrounding community, and runs his own business. When he’s not working, he’s enjoying a Rangers game with his family or planning a trip to Guatemala or Dominican Republic
Joanne Allsup has served as Children’s Pastor in SWHC’s Children’s ministry for over 12 years. She’s also a full time teacher in the Irving public school district and mother of 5 (not including the many adopted children that have passed through SWHC). Joanne is truly a child at heart and makes any occasion fun!
Mission’s Pastor Wayne Huff oversees our missions support and missions committee. He has a wide background in missions ventures and we’re blessed to have him serving here. Wayne and his wife, Alice began translating the Bible to a tribe in Guatemala many years ago and still take regular trips to partner with ministries in the region. Wayne has brought a new vision to our Mission’s department! He has an open-door policy and many stories and mission materials to share.
